Day 8 Recovery

When we went to Shane about 10am he was sitting up and looking really well. We were secretly hoping that he would come home already, becasue where we are is the 6th most violent city in the States, and the kids and I have been out there by ourselves.

Anway still in hospital for another night, he is finding it very painful to walk and get around.

OH MY GOODNESS, I actually just heard this news from my Mum who had spoken to your Mum (Leisa). I feel so bad for you guys, what you have been through. It would be bad enough to happen in your own city/home let alone in another country. Leisa you must have been so scared, I can only imagine. You were being looked after - I can see that. Anyhow, please pass on our best wishes to Shane that he makes a speedy recovery so that you can get on with your holiday. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

For Shane - from Team Davis - St George. You are so kind to make us laugh from so far away. Seriously we are thinking of you inbetween the tear of laughter that are coming down our faces. Gee - how dramatic, you could have just fallen out of a tree and got a scratch? How about a wasp bite, although we guess it is better than being kidnapped by a grizzly bear!!

We hope you are ok and more importantly we hope you had travel insurance.

We figure another day and a carton of Beck's will do wonders, Leisa -go buy yourself a bottle of Moet, you deserve it. We are of the opinion that the appendix isn't connected to the liver in anyway.

Also we have to laugh at the comment that you had your wallet on you in the ambulance, we are not too sure Leisa would have been better off with you as you never seem to have any money in it anyway!!

Oh well, at least now you have a good reason not to go on the scary rollercoasters in Disneyland. Stay safe!!! and enjoy the rest of your holiday.

OMGosh. I hope Shane's recovery is going well and he gets better really quickly. In years to come it'll be one of those things you laugh about.

Thinking of you all.

What an awful experience! Hope Shane is recovering well and you can continue on your trip incident free. And yes go and shout yourself that bottle of Moet (after that drive I think you've earned it!).

Glad to read that all is okay Leisa. I know how you must have felt driving on the wrong (right??) side of the road at night...but happy that Shane is well and you and the kids are fine too.
